A concept, not yet a platform
The Pub Table
Football's best arguments happen after the match, among people who trust each other enough to disagree. That's the model for the Pub Table.
The Pub Table is our founding committee’s ongoing debate format. Five voices, one game, rarely full agreement. Each Pub Table piece starts from a topic raised in our articles — VAR, offside, player welfare, governance — and gives each founding voice room to respond honestly, even when that means disagreeing with a co-founder.
The first Pub Table exchange is published as part of The Game Under Review series: “The Founding Committee Responds.”
What the Pub Table is not, yet
It is not an open comment section, and it is not a social network. At MVP stage, the Pub Table is founder-led and invite-only. We are deliberately starting small: a smart, trusted table of football people, not an open forum.
Where this is going
Over time, we intend to open the Pub Table to free, registered members — first as curated responses to founder debates, and later as a structured space for member submissions and moderated discussion. See our Join and Contribute pages for how that will roll out.
“Real football people rarely agree on everything. That's the point.”
